During your adventure in the sky, you’ll see surface-dwelling aquatic life such as dolphins, porpoises, large schools of fish, and various other wildlife native to the warm waters of the gulf.
No. It’s not scary, but it’s quite a thrill! In fact, most riders say that once they’ve started riding in the clouds and have wind in their face, the experience is quite peaceful.
There are things our captains can do to make your experience a little more exciting. For example, you can be dipped in the water during your flight to add another level of thrill.
Nope! Visitors come from across the Emerald Coast to parasail, rent jet skis, take tours of Crab Island, rent pontoon boats, and book fishing trips with Wet N’ Wild Watersports. We regularly have customers from Miramar Beach, Santa Rosa, Grayton, Sandestin, Fort Walton, Blue Mountain Beach, Seaside, Okaloosa Island, and even Panama City (about a 30 minute drive down 30-A).
Historically people launched with a running start on the beach. To make things safer, we’ve installed a launch deck on all of our parasail boats. These ensure you’ll always have a safe, gentle take off and landing.
Only if you want to! Getting dipped definitely adds some excitement to your experience, but it’s not for everyone. For your safety, in high wind conditions getting dipped may not be possible. You’ll be lifted from a platform at the rear of the boat, so you won’t be jumping in the water. But, it’s still best to plan on getting a little wet. So don’t bring an expensive camera without a waterproof case!
We absolutely encourage you to take pictures or even bring a GoPro with you for one-of-a-kind footage of Destin’s beautiful, white sandy beaches and crystal clear water. Our crew members or captain will even take a picture for you!
Start closer to Crab Island and get there faster! If you’ve never before hit the waves on a Jet Ski, you’re missing out. Whether your Jet Ski adventure is a high-speed, wave bouncing adventure on your Destin vacation, or a slower cruise to enjoy the emerald waters and white quartz beaches. Our top-of-the-line Jet Skis at Wet-N-Wild will make sure that you enjoy your time.
Either visit our location at 119 Calhoun Ave, or call in advance to make a reservation. If you’re planning on booking a boat cruise as well, let us know! We can double up your booking so that you can bring your Jet Skis along with you on the cruise, giving your party more options to enjoy.
Jet Skis can hit up to 55 mph, depending on the weather, current, waves, and weight load on the machine. Of course, you don’t have to go that fast. One of the best parts about Jet Skis is that you can accelerate depending on your comfort levels. Jumping waves, turning circles, and catching air are excellent fun, no matter how fast you’re going. Wet-n-Wild Watersports proudly exclusively only rent the best Sea-Doos in Destin.
If your birthday was on or after January 1, 1988, you are required to have a boater’s license at the time of rental, for both our Jet Skis and our pontoon boats. If you don’t have one already, we highly suggest taking the online course before your reservation time.
Yes, we want to make sure you are comfortable and confident handling the machine before you head out onto the water. Jet Skis are simple to operate, but if this is the first time you’ve been on a Jet Ski, or even if you’re not familiar with our models, it’s a good idea to spend some time with our staff, making sure that you know which controls are where. Take your time getting comfortable; we don’t count it against your rental time.
Our machines can handle as much as 450lbs, or around 204 kg each, so you can definitely double up with a passenger on your Jet Ski. Those under 16 years old can’t legally drive a Jet Ski, so the passenger spot might be ideal for kids 5-16, or those who are uncomfortable driving on their own.
• You have to be 18 years old or older to rent a Jet Ski and at least 16 to drive.
• Each person who plans to operate a Jet Ski must bring photo ID, and complete the boater safety course before heading to the water.
• At the time of rental, anyone born on or after January 1, 1988, must have a boater’s license.
• Jet Ski operators must carry both a photo ID and a boating safety education certificate if applicable.
Florida State Regulations state that:
Anyone born on or after January 1, 1988 who operates a vessel powered by 10 horsepower or more must pass an approved boater safety course and have in his/her possession photographic identification and a boating safety education identification card issued by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
Whether you want to cruise the bay or anchor out at Crab Island, Wet N’ Wild Watersports will provide you with the best boat for you and your party. There are so many ways to enjoy the water around Destin that your trip will make memories to last a lifetime.

You should consider bringing:
Absolutely! In fact, even your four-legged “kids” can join you for the ride. Our pontoon boats are so safe and simple to operate that even kids can take a turn at the wheel. The stability of the boat makes it easy to corral even very young children while you’re in motion. It’s also easy to disembark for a swim or an exploratory expedition on a beach.
If you were born on or after January 1, 1988, you are required to have a boater’s license at the time of rental. If you don’t have one already, don’t worry! Just go to the Pontoon page on our website for information on how to get your temporary license completed before arrival.
The boat’s renter is required to be 18 years or older, but there is no age limit for passengers. Our staff members will give you the simple demo of how to drive the boat before you take off, and you will be good to go! We will also familiarize you with the boat’s safety equipment (such as the personal flotation devices required by the U.S. Coast Guard). Ask for the inside tips of local favorites and you will find some spots the tour boat crowds never see!
When you rent one of our comfortable pontoon boats, you make the entire Destin seascape your own playground. Rather than being held to the schedule (and expense!) of a tour boat operator, you can set the agenda AND the course of sail! You and your group can enjoy each other’s company without being crowded onto a deck full of other tourists. Go where you want, when you want.
By renting our pontoon boats and captaining them on your own, you give yourself the freedom to enjoy vacation at your own pace, instead of being at the mercy of a tour boat captain and crowded with other tourists. Enjoy the emerald waters of Destin and the Gulf coast without picking from the fixed menu of the tour boats. Embrace the freedom of doing it your way.
